MUSR00 services

  • NIS master (MUSR-NIS)
  • home directories
  • NFS for OS images of ISAC V7648/V7750 VME CPUs (lxEXPT machines)
  • web server: http://musr00.triumf.ca
  • nodeinfo for MUSR machines

NIS configuration

  • domainname MUSR-NIS
  • master: xxx
  • secondary: xxx
  • autofs/automount configuration: musr00:/etc files auto.master, auto.home, auto.musr, auto.daq
    • after editing autofs files, run:
    • cd ~root
    • make -C /var/yp
    • ./all.perl service autofs reload

NFS configuration

  • /isdaq/dataNNN - shared data disks
  • /musr/xxx - BNMR/BNQR data disks

MUSR account summary

  • /home for local disks, /home1 for NFS directories.
  • musrdaq/msrorg are NIS but not NFS. Local directory in /home on each machine. msrorg exists on musr01/musr02 analysis machines as well!
  • m15/m20c/eXXX/... are NIS and NFS. Most hosted on musr00, but m20c hosted on /home in midm20c etc.
  • lx machines mount /home1 from relevant midm machine (vis fstab) to get access to musrdaq code. Nothing in /home for them.
