Frequently Asked Questions
2 I went to \sq\basic then tried SusiQ but I don't get the [M] [N] ...
? Before running SusiQ you should make sure that the environment variables are
set correctly. You forgot to run LOADSQ device: first.
2 I try to run loadsq c: but it says that my path is too long.
? DOS limits the path definition to 128 characters ... sorry... you should have
a path named sqpath which is the extension that loadsq trys to
add.
2 I don't get the scale label on the histogram and dotplot.
? Check the path to the modern.fon file by doing [S] st<cr>
the line graphic font should inform you on the problem. To correct the problem,
you have to edit the susiq.dft file to give a valid path to the
FONT parameter or comment it out. The default is dev:\sq.
2 While I'm watching a dotplot, the dotplot title changes colour?
? If I tell you that is on purpose, you wouldn't believe me?...
2 I started SusiQ and the first page being the help page does not fit on the
screen?
? Sounds like you not even running with an EGA display... Usually the graphics
part will be fine anyway. The file susiq.dft has a couple of resolution
modes to play with. Try them... (VIDEO_MODE)
2 After a successful SusiQ installation, the efficiency table does not contain
all my test declarations.
? Even SusiQ has some limitations. The number of tests is around 100, but the
screen in a single page can handle only around 40 results. I left the 100 in
case this becomes a real problem, but don't forget that SusiQ is for "simple
tests."
Here is a list of some of the potential problems that you may encounter if you
want to get in trouble.
V Do not play with flag settings if you specified TIMGEN or
TIMRND in susiq.dft.
Ø Switching of the acquisition mode flags while you have setup a
TIMMODE in susiq.dft may cause SusiQ to restart in the wrong
acquisition mode. Change the setting in susiQ.dft and restart SusiQ.
Ø For monochrome monitors, it is important to setup the right colour
list in susiq.dft which in that case should be limited to 2. An example
for black/white setting is provided for the FGCOLOR, BGCOLOR commands in
susiq.DFT.
